Dunkirk And Raw Winners At The Seattle Film Critics Society Awards

The Seattle Film Critics Society awarded Get Out as their pick for best film of the year but still spread the wealth throughout their set of winners. For starters, Dunkirk picked up Best Director and Best Film Editing while Phantom Thread won Best Actor, Costume Design, and Best Original Score. Meanwhile, Lady Bird picked up Best Actress, Supporting Actress, and Screenplay.

Also, despite not being France’s selection for Best Foreign Language Film, the coming-of-age cannibalism story Raw still managed to be not be forgotten this awards season as it picked up the Foreign Language Film prize.

Best Animated Feature: Coco

Best Documentary Feature: Faces Places

Best Cinematography: Roger Deakins, Blade Runner 2049

Best Costume Design: Mark Bridges, Phantom Thread

Best Film Editing: Lee Smith, Dunkirk

Best Original Score: Jonny Greenwood, Phantom Thread

Best Production Design: Dennis Gassner and Alessandra Querzola, Blade Runner 2049

Best Visual Effects: Joe Letteri, Dan Lemmon, Daniel Barrett, and Joel Whist, War For The Planet Of The Apes

Best Youth Performance: Brooklynn Prince, The Florida Project

Best Villain Of The Year: Dennis and The Horde in Split, portrayed by James McAvoy
