First Slate of Presenters for the 90th Oscars Announced

Producers of this year’s Academy Awards announced the first batch of presenters for the 90th Oscars ceremony. The presenters include last year’s winners for acting Mahershala Ali, Viola Davis, and Emma Stone. I’ll stick my neck out and assume they’ll be announcing Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actor respectively. The Best Actress award may well be the responsibility of one of the other named presenters, as Casey Affleck appears to have not received his invite yet.

Those other presenters in the first slate are Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, and also Spider-Man alias Tom Holland. Previous nominee Laura Dern, Juno and Dallas Buyers Club actress Jennifer Garner, as well as Tiffany Haddish – not nominated for Girls Trip, but appeared in Keanu with Jordan Peele.

Oscar nominees for 2017 Greta Gerwig, Kumail Nanjiani, and Margot Robbie will also present. Star of the Best Foreign Language nominee from Chile, A Fantastic Woman, Daniela Vega also makes the official presenter list.

The 90th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday 4th March.
