Kati Egely’s Land Without Evil and Myrsini Aristidou’s Aria take High Honors at the Femme Filmmakers Festival

The short film prizes for the 3rd annual Femme Filmmakers Festival were announced earlier today. Hungarian Kati Egely and Cypriot Myrsini Aristidou took several honors, with Kate Lefoe’s Somersault Pike nabbing both Cinematography and Editing. Egely’s blissful animation Land Without Evil dominated the tech categories, finally winning the grand prize, The Gold Sovereign.  Placing 3rd with The Dog Tooth, Aria also won Female Performance for Chryssa Platsatoura, with Aristidou adding the Directing prize to the film’s tally. With the Femme Filmmakers Festival 2018 just about at its close, we would like to thank everyone involved in the organising and the execution of this 10 day event. A special mention of course goes to those filmmakers, that have graced out screens for weeks now, and long may they be remembered.
