Lost Illusions Leads 47th César Awards Nominations

Xavier Giannoli’s Lost Illusions (Illusions Perdues) leads the nominations for the 47th César Awards with 15 nods including Best Film and Best Director. The film also picked up two nominations each in Best Supporting Actress (Jeanne Balibar and Celine de France) and Best Supporting Actor (Xavier Dolan and Vincent Lacoste), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Elsewhere, Leos Carax’s Annette scored 11 nominations and Valerie Lemercier’s Aline earned 10. Julia Ducournau’s Palme d’Or-winning Titane was snubbed of a Best Film nomination, though Ducournau did land a Best Director nod and Agathe Rousselle is up for Best Female Newcomer.
